Implementation Science

Implementation science seeks to close the long-standing “know-do” gap in healthcare—the disconnect between what we know works and what we do in practice. It uses scientific methods to understand how best to adopt, adapt, and sustain evidence-based interventions in real-world settings. The field also focuses on the development and refinement of interventions to ensure they are feasible, effective, and equitable in routine care. Our research experts work to ensure that proven health interventions reach the people and communities they are designed to benefit.
