The Center for Clinical and Translational Science (CCTS) is a multidisciplinary community dedicated to bridging scientific discoveries and improving clinical care and community health. Guided by our vision to translate research into meaningful health outcomes, we conduct and support high-quality, innovative studies—from basic and pre-clinical research to clinical trials and observational studies—that inform prevention strategies, health care policies, and interventions. Through education, mentorship, and comprehensive research services such as informatics, team science, data support, and navigation, CCTS fosters collaboration across the translational research spectrum to elevate the overall health of our communities.

CCTS is the home of MaineHealth REDCap, TriNetX, and the Observational Medical Outcomes Partnership (OMOP) research data warehouse. The Northern New England Clinical & Translational Research Network (NNE-CTR) grant, led by Cliff Rosen, MD and Gary Stein, MD and other translational research collaborations such as the National Clinical Cohort Collaborative (N3C) and Researching COVID to Enhance Recovery (RECOVER) also reside in the CCTS.
