As a Consultation Liaison psychiatrist, my professional interests largely involve the connection between physical and mental health.  Though my previous research experience is limited, I am currently working on a project looking at the relationship of Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF) in post-myocardial infarction depression.   I am fortunate to have the support of Joanne Burgess, Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator, as well as two resident trainees, Drs.
