Background & Experience
Ashley Levesque is a Clinical Research Coordinator and Regulatory Specialist with the Clinical Trials Office at MHIR. Ashley is part of the Float Pool and facilitates study start-up. She supports studies by processing them through Institutional Review Board’s (IRB’s), where they are reviewed for safety and given approval to enroll patients. Ashley works directly with study sponsors, research nurses, physicians, and site staff to open and process amendments for studies.
Ashley earned a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Maine, and a Master in Public Health from the University of New England. Prior to working in the Clinical Trials Office, Ashley worked as a contractor for the Maine CDC in Immunization, Cardiovascular Health, and Diabetes Prevention. She also worked as a Pharmacy Technician in both inpatient and retail settings.
In her spare time, Ashley enjoys traveling, reading, running, and spending time with her family. Ashley is passionate about her work because she enjoys helping patients’ access treatment they might otherwise not have access to.
