Dr. Fairfield is a physician scientist and Professor of Medicine, Public Health & Community Medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine. Her current work focuses on healthcare disparities and shared decision making. Her background includes an MD from Boston University and DrPH from Harvard School of Public Health, and internal medicine residency and general medicine fellowship at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. In addition to her research, Dr. Fairfield cares for patients and supervises residents in the International Clinic at MaineHealth Maine Medical Center and directs the MaineHealth Institute for Teaching Excellence.
