Kneka Smith, EdD, MPH, is the Vice President for Academic Affairs. Dr. Smith serves in leadership, strategic, and operational roles within the Maine Medical Center Department of Medical Education, the MaineHealth Institute for Research, and the MaineHealth Innovation Center, overseeing certain functions and performance of corporate administration, and assisting with the implementation of academic portions of the MaineHealth strategic plan. She oversees the Office of Academic Affairs and brings over two decades of academic affairs, health professions education leadership, and population health experience to her role
