John DiPalazzo is a research analyst at CIPHR, focusing on the Maine Cancer Genomics Initiative, the Maine Lung Cancer Coalition, and clinical trials data management.
Previously he was a data analyst at Maine Medical Partners, working with MaineHealth’s Epic medical-record database to support clinical quality initiatives. Since 2015 he has been the statistical consultant for the International Journal of Nursing Knowledge.
He completed a dual master’s degree program in statistics and public health at University of Southern Maine in 2018. His graduate research looked at ethical dilemmas posed by the use of genomic data, and he participated in the Jackson Laboratory’s NIH-funded program in genomic big data. He holds bachelor’s degrees in mathematics and computer science from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
In his prior career as a newspaper journalist he was a reporter, editor and editorial writer, having earned a bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s degree in history from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
