COBRE in Mesenchymal and Neural Regulation of Metabolic Networks
COBRE Core Facility
The Physiology Core — Dr. Clifford Rosen
The Physiology Core, led by Dr. Clifford Rosen, provides high quality tissue, cellular, and in vivo phenotyping services for MaineHealth Institute for Research researchers and outside investigators. We specialize in an array of biochemical assays for comprehensive hematological, metabolic, and skeletal phenotyping. For in vivo metabolic monitoring, we have metabolic cages that can be adapted to different temperatures, and body composition analysis by DXA and NMR imaging. In addition, we have advanced cellular and mitochondrial bioenergetics capacity to quantify oxidative phosphorylation and glycolysis in cells and tissues.
This Core provides scientific support to the projects of this COBRE as indicated below, and integrates with the Proteomics and Lipidomics Core and the Histopathology and Histomorphometry Core. For more information on our services, contact Victoria DeMambro, Core Manager (demamv@mainehealth.org).
