MaineHealth Institute for Research (MHIR) offers opportunities for medical students and clinical trainees to participate in mentored research projects. These projects are competitively assessed for institutional funding through our Mentored Research Grant Program.
Clinical trainees within the residency and fellowship programs at Maine Medical Center are encouraged to consider the Center for Molecular Medicine for translational research projects. These projects can be supported by institutional funds or by external fellowships.
