Office of Technology Transfer & Intellectual Property2022-06-01T10:27:26-04:00

MaineHealth promotes the development of new knowledge and facilitates its application in ways that benefit society. The Office of Technology Transfer (OTT) facilitates the practical application of knowledge by protecting, marketing, and negotiating the sale of rights of commercially viable intellectual property to partners that can bring the property to market.

The mission of the Office of Technology Transfer is to make MaineHealth’s technology available for public benefit, to promote research by facilitating collaboration with industry, and to generate research-supporting income.

Researchers who think they’ve discovered a new technology, be it a process or a material, are encouraged to speak with Todd Keiller and complete an Intellectual Property Disclosure Form.

Todd S. Keiller is the Director of the Office of Technology Transfer & Intellectual Property.  He offers thirty years of experience in licensing, business development, and marketing.
